In 1796 a local doctor, John Anderson, purchased the land where eight mineral springs were found to have medicinal powers. By 1806, Anderson built the hotel that would become the Omni Bedford Springs Resort. For nearly two hundred years the resort was host to generations of the rich and powerful, including ten American presidents. Returned to its former glory after an impressive $120 million restoration, the Omni Bedford Springs Resort is the area’s flagship lodging and dining venue.
The Golden Eagle Inn, located in one of the oldest buildings in downtown, built in 1794, offers a diverse menu focused on freshness. For more casual fare, check out The Pub on the lower level.
Join LIFeSTYLE Living Italian Food e Style for an extraordinary dining experience each weekend, when the specialty food retailer will transport you into a world of European charm. Every Friday and Saturday night, a five-course trattoria dinner is served highlighting the flavors of a different region of Italy.
Open for breakfast and lunch, Next Door is a collaboration with the owners of LIFeSTYLE. From the brick walls, contemporary style natural wood tables, and hints of polished stone, the restaurant has a distinctly metropolitan feel, with the friendly service you’d find in a small town.
In every corner of the county, you’ll find wonderful restaurants in the most surprising places. Stop by Woodbury Cafe, housed in a former church, and treat yourself to their wonderful pies. And don’t miss the local favorites, like the Original Italian Pizza, with locations in Bedford and Everett.
The pandemic has been very difficult for our restaurants, who have endured restrictions on dining-in and reduced occupancy levels. Please support our many fine dining establishments.
